The NASCAR Sprint Cup visits Bristol this weekend for the Food City 500 and one of the best races on the NASCAR calendar.
The winner on Sunday will join the likes of Dale Earnhardt, Darrell Waltrip, Cale Yarborough and Richard Petty as winners of one of NASCAR’s most prestigious races. The track offers a unique blend of high banking and short straights testing the drivers to the maximum.
Kyle Busch is the man to watch at the Tennessee track. He has the best driver rating at 101.8, and also has the best average finish. He’s has the equal most wins at the track at five, with brother Kurt and Jeff Gordon, and he is the youngest winner here and does attempt numerous races at the track thanks to his commitment in other NASCAR series’.
Last years race was dominated by Kasey Kahne, who started from second on the grid and led one hundred and nine laps on his way to victory. Kyle Busch finished second and Brad Keselowski rounded out the top three.
Dale Earnhardt Jr is the form man this year, finishing first, second and second so far this season leaving him at the top of the standings. Brad Keselowski, who is second in the standings, is the only other driver with three top five finishes, with third, third and first last week at Las Vegas.
